Nice instrumental; obviously the Daft Punk comparisons will be there. I would suggest perhaps increasing the pitch on the vocals though as sometimes they seem too drowned out by the instrumental. Definitely on the right direction though so keep going!!
This is a powerful piece, thanks for sharing!!! Probably not right for us as an entity as we focus more on electronica, but from a personal point of view, this is definitely the kind of instrumental that's been missing from the music space for a while :) Keep us updated on your next movements. thanks!
Thanks for sharing this with us guys; we're feeling the instrumental built around chorus (great hook there); in terms of sharing though, the track doesn't really fit in with our focus as a website (ie futuretronic, bass, grime etc). Good luck though!
Thanks for this; we're usually quick dubious of house reworks of such staple songs, but this seemed to work really well. Feel free to contact us directly next time to keep us in the loop with new music. Can you also provide us some more info about you too? ie what is in the pipeline, background etc? Thanks!
Hey Samuel, thanks for sharing this. We really enjoyed it; the beat was straightforward yet massively effective; the flows were slick too. Please feel free to keep us updated on your next music directly - email@example.com. Keep gunning at it - great potential!
Thanks guys, this is really great. Must say, we were a bit cautious when we read 'indie-rock' (we're more focused toward electronic, house, bass music etc) but we're really feeling Happy Haunting. It has a calming focus, akin to The Killers or potentially early-The 1975. Keep up the great work!
Thanks guys. Like this but I'm afraid it's probably not right for our audience (who tend to prefer the more underground house-led sonics). Good luck though, it's definitely a sun-drenched soundtrack so the release-timing is spot on. Thanks for sharing!
Hey there; we absolutely love this one so thanks for sharing. We'll definitely be posting this one up so keep an eye on our Twitter (@StagedoorFM) over the next couple of days (if not sooner) and you should see it there! Wonderful instrumental!
Hey there, thanks for thinking of us. It's a nice track, with some really smooth production, however as a blog that specialises more on electronica and house/future house etc, it's probably not right for us. Keep us posted with your future work though, and good luck!
Wasn't feeling it at first, but a few listens in this one is massively-groovy. We can't guarantee submissions onto our site (Q4 is fairly overload at the moment), but if we can find any way to squeeze it in we'll definitely try to accommodate.
Thanks for sending this across Roger - I actually listened to it a couple of times on separate days just to try and see if my opinion changed; fortunately it did. At first, I was concerned at the feel of the direction it was going in, but second/third plays shifted me out that mindset. A nice piece of light production there (thinking along the lines of XO/Leo Kalyan etc). I think hone this style and you could see the blogs starting to hit you up!
Bo, this is great stuff, thanks so much for sharing. We'll look to run a post on this at some point today for you - it's a nice spin on Earned It (plus we've had a quick listen to Hideaway too, and I'm pretty sure Kiesza would give a positive nod to that!). Really liking the Prince/Nile Rodgers-esqueness on the tracks too. Happy to put the Bandcamp / social links in the post too. All the best Wayne
Hi there Thanks for sharing; we'd absolutely love to premiere this one exclusively. We've previously shared HP's ‘Seeing What’s Next’ back in May, and this is a brilliant follow-up. Please let me know - firstname.lastname@example.org
This is great Roger, really, really great. Massively digging on this one. It's probably a bit more 'lo-fi' than we cater for however it's a perfect summer/late-night accompaniment. Please can you send our editor more information about yourself? email@example.com Thanks!
Hi Courtney / Ryan This is great, thanks so much for sharing! We'll look to post this on the site today for sure! In terms of guest mixes - we're currently also looking to expand our own Soundcloud offering of content for our readers, so we'd be interested to hear what you can do in terms of an exclusive set. Just so you're aware too, we play a large focus on specialist music (house/tropical, bass, garage, electronica etc are all high priorities for us). However 'EDM' is something we don't cover, and probably never will, so please keep that in mind for future releases :) regards Wayne
Hi guys, thanks for sending through. Really feeling this one (though would have been good to have auditioned the full track) - some interesting loops in the background, and some nice subtle synths too, and it seems you've really nailed where electronica looks to be heading. **UPDATE** Sorry guys, for some reason the description didn't show up at first. Just heard the full track, and we absolutely love it, and would love to feature it as an exclusive premiere. Feel free to drop our editor a line - firstname.lastname@example.org with all info. We've made him aware that you may get in touch! Keep up the great work!
This is really nice Roger - seems down the vibe of The Weeknd/SOHN which is a nice touch. Our only (and bear in mind, this is our only negative), is that we were anticipating a drop in the track which didn't seem to exist. Nevertheless, this is a nice launch to your project(s). We'd recommend submitting this to Radio 1's music team over in the UK for their Sunday night 'Musical Hot Water Bottle' show and see their thoughts. It definitely fits in their show's output. Keep sending us your new material; we're really feeling this one!
Hi Ryan/Sky - really feeling this track, congratulations. It has that india-electro-versus-1975-feel that seems to be the 'in-thing' at the moment, plus it's catchy-as too. Unfortunately, Spirit doesn't fall within the kind of genre we would post on Stagedoor FM, but we'll definitely be keeping an eye out on what you're doing moving-forward (particularly on the remix front). If you don't mind, I'd like to pass this across to some other blogs who may be interested. Keep up the good work!
Nice beat, though the vocals need to be a lot stronger, and sharper (they're too in the background). The beat could work for a hip-hop/R&B jam with female vocals Really can't understand the vocals at its current time though
