Really enjoyed this tune. Catchy hook and love the melody. The production is top notch and unique, but also digestible at the same time. I think this track has an uptempo male version of Imogen Heap type of vibe. Mixing/Engineering on this is very good. Vocals are great! If there was one critique though, I wish the lyrics were better. So much work was put into every part of the song and I could hear it, but I felt some of the lyrics didn't get as much love and attention. I think that one change could really escalate this song and make it much more meaningful and a better song overall.
Really cool song here. Love the melody and the track. Great production. Could definitely see this getting placed on Film/TV...the quality is there. There isn't much advice I can give on this song as it is very well done for the genre. Could see this on some big electronic music playlists on Spotify.
Definitely a lot of potential here. Really enjoyed the song. This type of music I can definitely see in film and TV...you should focus on those sync deals. I suggest living in a place like Los Angeles or Nashville where you can find a community of like minded artists to help you grow your network and craftsmanship. Keep it up!
Very pretty song. Enjoyed this one! Great melody! The intro from the first violin was a bit rusty and shaky. I think the violinists can be better for a song like this. I think the vocalist has a very unique and special voice, but this is a voice that needs a particular mic to take it to the next level sonically. I recommend trying different mics to find the right one for this voice and I think it can resonate amazingly.
Unique track, refreshing to hear something new. I think the vocal performance is great and the instrumentation is nice. However, I wish the blend between the vocal and track were better. It sounds a bit detached from one another. I think the melody is unique and different, but I personally prefer a melody or theme that is a little more digestible to the average person.
This song has a great feel to it. The production is great and relevant with today's sounds. The song definitely gets me moving. The only feedback I have for the song is that there is a LOT going on melody-wise. Granted, it's an uptempo song, but I would have given the melody a little more room to breathe. I think what could help enhance this song is if you carved out one of the verses and had a rapper on the track to give it a different flow. It could also give the ears a little break from the autotune effect. Overall, great job, I actually listened to it a few times! Very talented writer.
It has a bit of a 90's throwback feel to it. Digging the track and melodies. Very catchy hook. Lyrics are very fitting to the genre as well. Overall, I enjoyed listening to this. Although I like the track personally, I think it could use a bit of an upgrade in the sounds in terms of what's out there right now. A good remix on this could take this song to the next level 100%. At around 2:20, I got slightly bored, but once again, that was because of the track being a bit stale. Perhaps it also could have been that the melody sounded a bit repetitive without any sort of variation. Great job all in all, I think this could do very well with the right upgrade.
Perfect for Film/TV. Highly recommend actively pitching this to music supervisors who can place this...I think that might be a way to get seen as a band and grow a following. Has a bit of a Phoenix the Band feel. Solid writing, producing, and melody. Music video is great. Don't know how long the band has been around, but I think there's a great start here for something big.
Pretty solid song. Lyrics, melody, production - all solid. I think it would fit very nicely in film/TV. Can't really say anything bad about this track. The only thing I'd say is that it doesn't stand out to me as a hit song or single. I'd probably actively try to get sync deals with this track. Great job!
Reminds me a little bit of Kiesza's song Hideaway. Digging the song. Solid writing and melodies. I think the vocals could have been a bit more stronger performance wise. Sounds a bit linear, could use some more peaks and valleys. Could hear this in the background of some shows. Wouldn't call this a smash hit song, but I think it can be close.
I think the melody is great...has a nice 70's-ish vibe. Cool lyrics. Choice of instrumentation was unique and interesting. I love the banjo, but it got a little too repetitive for me throughout the song. Same goes with the violin. I think the instruments can have some breathing room...sounds like every instrument is always playing. Vocalists have a slightly older sound, but still cool. Depends what you're going for, but I think if you put a younger singer with a more modern production and I think this could do pretty well. Song overall has a nice indie vibe I could see placed in an indie movie...something like "Begin Again". I think this song has potential...
The singer has a great voice and has lots of potential. Curious what her age is. As far as the production is concerned, I think the vocals can be a bit tighter...there are lots of spots where it's not totally locked in with the track and in pop music like this, production needs to be tight. Songwriting wise, I think there's potential...there is a LOT going on melodically...I think the track can improve to give the space the melody needs...or just simplify the melody slightly... The hook is nice. The picture on the video can also be nicer and more edgy.
Solid pop writing. Great melody, hook, and verses. Track sounds great. This is definitely ready for the charts. Vocalist is great. The only thing I could say about it is that it could sound a little less "safe" with both melody and track, but overall, I feel positive about this song.
Lots of great energy in this tune. Love the guitar sounds. I think it has a great indie-rock vibe that might fit well in an indie film. Melodically, I didn't hear anything that was memorable...there didn't seem to be a hook and the structure seemed a bit strange to me. As far as the music video is concerned, I initially thought it was a bunch of stock footage pieced together until I saw the lip-syncing. I wish there was more of it...I also wish there was a story line in the video, but it had some cool angles. Was definitely unique. I enjoyed the video nonetheless because it looked like you had a lot of fun shooting it. I think there's potential here in some new music...biggest points would be to make the hook more memorable and give the song some more structure.
The vocalist has a great voice. Very soulful. I think the elements of a great song are all in there. Sounds a bit like Gavin Degraw. Production is nice. In regards to the song, I get was getting really excited for the chorus coming up, but I don't think it hit me quite the way I wanted it to. I think if the chorus was killer, this could have chart potential. Video-wise, I think it could be better. I know it's going for the live look, but video deserves to be nicer with a song like this. Overall, I think the artist has great potential and should keep writing, performing, and putting stuff out there.
Upright bass sounds cool in the beginning. As far as the mix, I think the drums could be further back along with the other instruments/voice - I think it's a little distracting. 1:11, I think that can come in earlier so the intro doesn't drag too much. Maybe do a breakdown in the middle to make up for the shortened intro. Could see this being used in a mystery documentary.
I can see this being used in an end credit of an action movie. Cool track with a mysterious vibe. Could hear this on KCRW. Not sure about mainstream radio. Wish I could understand the lyrics a little better, but I understand its a stylistic thing in the vocal. Music video seems to be geared to be more artistic than trendy or something engaging to the average person. Don't see it going viral based off the video, but I will say the song is stronger than the video. The chorus is catchy. Maybe remix it to be an EDM song to try something new?
I can sense some 80's/European influence here. A little bit of electronic music producer BT. I could see this maybe doing well in Europe. Not sure how it would do in the states. Maybe for a niche audience. Melody was good. The video was awesome. Very unique and creative. I think the video overpowered the song, but that's what is necessary on YouTube sometimes.
Love this mashup, very creative. Remixer/producer has a good musical sense. I like what you did with the hook. The video was also very cool and engaging. I could see this being popular in the indie music scene. Can hear this being played in a place like American Apparel.
Music: Don't know if this is a "single", but I enjoyed listening nonetheless. Good songwriting. Great unique voice. Think this is a great start. If you have a more catchy song, I'd choose that as a single and push it. Video: Well edited and engaging especially the lap guitar part.
