Seducing The Naysayer by Brutus Begins

Hi! You clearly know your stuff. The production and overall sound is nice! The drums, the bass and vocals works great together. There's also lots of small details instrumental wise for the listener to digest, which I like. The bridge is also a highlight. However I'm missing something melody wise to keep me interested. Other than that - keep doing your thing! Best wishes Soren

Origin by Federico Procopio

I like how the track builds and builds and you add layers upon layers. I do miss a more memorable melody along the way. The underlying synth imitating strings also sound a bit too artificial and dull, at least to my ears ;) But you got a lot of potential! Gonna follow you on Spotify :) Best of luck!

Nice dynamic pop/rock vibe with psychedelic undertones going on. The production is really top notch! The only thing I'm missing is a more memorable melody which is kind of essential for me. Good luck guys!

By Demons Driven by Tim Kuhl

Nice dark brooding atmosphere on this synth track. I really like the overall soundscape. I'm missing a bit more melodic development and maybe a strong kick in the beat section to spice it up. Will consider adding it to my synth playlists. -Kind Regards Soren

Carry My Stone by Brad Urba

Very nice production and use of percussion which reminds a bit of Woodkid. I like the atmospheric elements and the choir. The rap session in the last third is also a nice touch as it leads up to a sort of a crescendo. That said the over all feeling of the track is a bit too dramatic and loaded with pathos for my personal taste. I think, however, that it would probably go well as a sync in scene in a television series that matches the mood of your music. Good luck!

The Secret Garden (Den Hemmelige Have) for orchestra by Frederik Magle

Dear Frederik, what a lovely piece of music you have written. I like the tone of it all being cinematic and taking the listener on a colorful journey. I can easily imagine a secret and kinda magical forest while listening. Also I find it very comforting. Very suitable for the patients, relatives and staff of the radiation therapy at the hospital (together with the rest of the installation). I will include the piece in my best of 2019 and guldkorn for august playlist! Keep up the good work!

Wish I Could by What After This?

Very cinematic. I love the violin and cello work. I do wish that the melody by the piano was more progressive. Also in the second part I don't think the melody or interacting melodies are memorable enough too be this repetitive. Hope that makes sense. Best of luck Soren

Beautiful piece of music. However it's too clean and pretty in it's expression to be a good fit my blog where I like to focus on music that mixes classical and electronic music. Best of luck! Søren

The Fairest of Roses - Fanfare for two trumpets and organ by Frederik Magle

Beautiful and very cinematic composition! Simple in structure but still so emotionally complex. I find it to capture both hope, comfort, sadness, melancholy, loneliness and a sense of awe. Would love to hear it live! Do you have it on Soundcloud or Spotify by any chance? Would be much easier then to include on my monthly playlists. Will definetely remember this composition for Christmas! Best regards Søren

Screens (Official Music Video) by Cult Fantastic

Funky and nice blend of instruments, psychedelic elements and other cool sound effects. The song is funny while still managing to get it's critical message across. I like it but it's not really a fit for my music blog. I wish you good luck!

03 Time For Bed Said Zebedee by Fraser A Campbell

Nice repetitive pattern and melody. It sparks emotions of nostalgia and ease, think. I can also hear the childhood theme. You clearly have a talent for communicating feelings. I do, however, miss something that makes the track stand more out. Will follow your publications on Soundcloud! Best regards Soren

You by mono mono

Bonfire by Foreign Quarters

Pretty nice sound you've developed. I miss more chord progression which I think would make the track more melodic. The fluttering/shimmering effect works great but I think it stops too suddenly. I also miss more atmospheric stuff i the background. Maybe you know Jon Hopkins? Maybe listen to him for inspiration for deep, beautiful atmospheric sounds. Best Soren

Forever And Ever by Mazo

I like the dreamy, melancholic vibe. The melody and the whole flow of the song also works well. However, I miss a more authentic sounding vocal without the effects/autotune thing going on. Also I would drop the tone modulation in the last part.

You Versus the World by Mr. Dreem

Nice electronic-indie vibe going on here! I really like the vocals and the choir. The lead vocal reminds me of a mix of Ben Gibbard from Band Of Horses and Ben Bridwell from Death Cab For Cutie which is a compliment. I get a bit tired of the drum machine, would consider real drums. I'm also missing something extra that makes the track stand out from the rest in a crowded genre. Best regards and good luck Soren

Love Is In My Heart by Kurt Riley

The David Bowie reference makes a lot of sense. I'm digging the overall vibe and the combination of organic instruments and electronic/synthetic instruments. A well composed track! However the synthesizer kicking in around 2:30 sounds cheap in my opinion so I would change that part. Will consider it for my Best of the month playlist on Soundcloud (if the track is on Soundcloud) and best of the year playlist on Spotify. Keep up the good work! Best regards Soren

What a lovely piano piece! It reminds of the score to The Truman Show and Goodbye Lenin. Minimal but still melodic and emotional. Rigtig fedt nummer!

Red Wine Melancholia by Sternlumen

Lovely piece. I love the way I as a listener just "drown" in the fast paced flow of key strokes. I mean it in a good way. The effect is very dreamy and you kinda lose yourself along the ride. I've also listened to the two preview tracks on your Facebook page in the video recorded at the MillFactory NuVenue Jazz Festival, which I liked even better as they were more melodic. Looking forward to the new album! I'm also strongly considering coming to the concert in Koncertkirken in September.

Abyss - Run by Roberto Attanasio

Beautiful! Very minimalist and melodic at the same time. Also I love the intimate sound you've created with the mic so close to the piano. In the beginning I thought the piece was going to be a bit predictable but I was happy to learn that it wasn't. I think it flows very organically and I like the way you seamlessly take the melody to new directions. I have had added it to my "Best of" playlist for october. Looking forward to listening to the whole album once it's released :) Cheers Soren

I like it! Very nice airy sound. It kinda feels like one big breath. The production and is solid and I particularly like the organic shuffling sounding percussion. Will strongly consider it for my "Best discoveries of April playlist"! My only complaint is that this kind of melodic electronic that you guys practice isn't very unique these days. Lots of bands sounds similar, so - and I hope I'm not sounding arrogant here - make an effort to stand out even more! :) Good luck! /Søren

Pretty nice lush sounding pop with bitter sweet lyrics . I like your light voice, it's very touching. The vintage tape delays & synths adds nice organic contrast to the electronic elements. The flute is also a nice touch! My only but very serious complaint is that the melody is too simple and unoriginal in my opinion. Good luck! I think you're onto something! /Soren

Tickets, Please by Scuba and the Tanks

I can probably best help with the blog part. There are many blogs as you say so I would be very careful to only select the ones that have a profile that fits your music. If they have a proven record of liking music similar to yours there is a much bigger chance they would want to share your music with their readers. Be personal when you write to a blog. Show that you know the blog you are submitting to by telling you like a particular blog post for instance. Also be sure to be precise and keep it short in your description of your music and include a direct link to your music on soundcloud or some other streaming site. The long description or a press release should be attached. If the blogger digs your music they will be willing to download a pdf. Hope this helps! Cheers! How do I get on a blog? Do I have to wait till after its release?

You and Only You by The Anchoress

Thanks for this submit submission. Really nice and dark synth pop. I dig the way the track builds and get more intense and noisy in the end. The dark bass line works really well over all. The same goes for the glitchy vocal effects. I do however find the female voice as well as the chorus a bit boring. Good luck!

Pretty cool electropop! I really like the warping effect on the bass synth! Feels pretty organic and alive and I dig the vocals airiness. The only thing I miss is a more memorable melody. Wil add the track to my november playlist: https://soundcloud.com/musikmigblidt/sets/guldkorn-november-2015

Mysterious and dark. Almost like a short art movie with the voice over. Like the first track you sent me more, though. Still need to listen to the EP in it's entirety. Your expression takes some time to get into since it keeps me guessing what comes next. Which is a good thing in my book! :)

1982 by Tim Kuhl

Hi mate, I'm impressed and intrigued! Nice groovy synths! The pulsating as well as the floating one! It works well that it seems a bit - just a little bit off key. I like the way the percussion is warm forward but still blends in perfectly. The repeating melodic patterns creates a cool hypnotic, dreamy and relaxing feeling and the shifting chords keeps it interesting I think! It's a pretty simple and clean style but at least for this stand alone track I think it works very well! Vangelis and 80's sci-fi flicks come to mind :) Oh and by the way the track "White (k)Night" from your Soundcloud reminds me of French duo Air in a good way. Will put this track it on my Best of June Soundcloud playlist (https://soundcloud.com/musikmigblidt/sets/guldkorn-juni-2015) which will be shared on my music blog sometime in July. Also shared on my Facebook and Twitter profile. I would be very happy to receive a copy of "1982" for review purpose :) - vinyl if possible! Best wishes Søren

Vi Faldt Jo Ned by Mikas

Anomalies by Stereodyssey

Hi Justin, nice layered and shimmering sound. Really like the watery feeling to the track and the sparkling synths midway. What I don't like is the stutter effect. I think it's overused in this case. Also I think the track could benefit from an addition of more organic elements like for instance an acoustic guitar, bells, strings or real drums. For reference try to listen to The Album Leaf (the LP "In A Safe Place") which I think your music reminds a bit of. I like your other track Earthchild better since it has exactly the more organic feeling to it that I'm talking about!

Judith by Jacob David

Beautiful and reflective little piano piece! The melody is just lovely. Depending on the mood of the listener it can be perceived as bittersweet as well as optimistic and be suited for gentle morning listening as well as a night time lullaby. I love the fact that you can hear the mechanics of the instrument - it adds a wonderful textured dimension to the sound and enhances the character of the piece.

Young Oblivion by MEMORYY

/Very nice synth bass and handling of shimmering layers. Interesting and surprising uplifting shift in percussion and mood when the chorus enters! I also like the way it builds in intensity. However, i feel the track could benefit from a break somewhere in the last third. A sort of "silence before the storm" passage where tension slowly builds like a gradual crescendo into a satisfying climax. Will put it on my playlist for best tracks in March: https://soundcloud.com/musikmigblidt/sets/guldkorn-marts-2015

Grreat video! Two things for you to consider that could make the video better: Maybe the voice over could be a bit more friendly and engaging. The background music seems somewhat dull in my ears. I would recommend some intelligent and atmospheric electronic music from Max Cooper for instance.

Copenhagen Lies by The Mind Mess

It's a really catchy and well produced track. I like the many layers with lots of attention to details like for instance the plucked guitar (or maybe it's a synth hook), groovy saxophone and multilayered vocals. - all without creating a chaos which a real danger with so many layers going on. All the elements go well together and create a beautiful harmony. One thing that I don't like is the chorus that's a bit too catchy or poppish for my taste and also a bit too repetitive, I think. It feels almost too intense. Maybe an idea could be to have a sort of interlude where you strip away elements to create a sort of breathing space and in that sense add some dynamics and sense of expectation to the track.

Walk Away by Vos Lake

You have clearly found your own style and I like it's dreamy, lazy, drowned quality. I love the lively bright synths and the dreamy vocal sample repeating "ahh ahh" four times. What I don't like so much is the almost staccato like melody - it gives the track an almost robotic vibe. The same goes for the vocals - it's a bit too monotonic for my taste. I think your sound could benefit from applying a more fluid atmosphere - smoothing things out a bit like I think you succeed in doing on your track "Backyard". Maybe the vocals could be more in the foreground like on "Backyard"? Also the percussion pattern sound too much like the preprogrammed ones in keyboards for my taste. Finally I'm not sure the track develops enough to justify a time length of 4:52. Maybe there could be a couple of musical bridges to create more variation? Overall a track with the potential to be pretty great with a few adjustments. What you did on your track Backyard, which I really like, is a winning formala!

Nu Religion by Sunboy

Not really liking all the vocal manipulation going in the verses but I do like the detailed percussion work and the flow in the chorus is really good! Nice dreamy reverb on the vocal here! The small understated psychedelic instrumental elements works really well too (like the bubbling sound)! A nice track for hitting the road!

Stand/still by Cold, cold heart

What a wonderful track! Very soothing with longing, heart wrenching ambience. I can definitely hear the inspiration from losing someone dear - it also sounds a bit like stargazing and getting that feeling of being alone in the big universe. The only thing I''m not sure totally works for me is the noise guitar that is introduced around 4:13 and builds up towards 5:11. I don't like the way it falls out of rythm at 5.00 and the abrupt way it disappears shortly after. It feels a bit unfulfilled. Right now it builds to nothing really - maybe it could actually build to something - a bit of a climax? Or something more subtle like a reverb sound or a sound resembling a small implosion. Will be following your moves on soundcloud from now on :)

What a wonderful track with a very rich sound! There are so many good things to say about this. I like the heavy drums, the chanting choir feel and the majestic string section. The only thing that could give this song an extra edge is in my opinion a more memorable melody.
