Hi Nick...thanks for the submission. I generally like this and the loose vocal delivery. Reminds me of Dylan meets Trent Rezner (in some songs i.e. "Only"). Nice contrast also between the verse and chorus...I like how you've constructed that. We're just starting to develop our Best of Indie playlist on Spotify and I just dropped the song in the playlist. Hope that might help!
Hi Nick! I loved the song and how it's very relaxed and driven, as you said. It definitely has its own character. I loved how the song is one that we all can relate to, in addition to having great vocals and guitars.
I was hooked at the opening bell on this one! You are so right in the fact that "...the truth isn't fu*king shared..." many are lost as to what to do as individuals. Great call to action as we need to band together to stop the "...monster..." from running the way it does now. Sonically the track is amazing, great intervals and changes, lyrical missiles dripping with emotion yet not a hopeless vein...love it.
Good stuff. It definitely has that triumphant feeling to it. good album closer. This one very 'Pop' mix with the vocals out way in front. some cool instrument sounds are getting lost in the background. We may be able to set something up by April 12th. Would it be a premiere? email me firstname.lastname@example.org Keith
Hi thanks for the submission. I dig the organic vibe of the song and the vibey dreamy production and guitar work (nice mix the way the guitar parts are separated and panned etc). Overall, though, for some creative feedback, I felt the song kind of a wandered a bit. On one hand, it's great for the background. On the other hand, after listening through the entire song I could not really sing back any parts of this but would be making a mental note that that song was a "cool vibe." So if that's your mission i think you have done a great job there. For me on the publishing, label and blog side i'm more or less looking for those songs that you can sing back after one listen. But wanted to say this was a nice job all across, and also vocals too.
I friggen love this. The music is pretty good but the real-ness and transparency you share make it reach a higher level. I truly feel the best way to build a fanbase now is to connect with the listener like this. Maybe it hits me even more since I am a 43 year old with 2 kids and a career separate from music as well. Perhaps we could set up an interview for the IndieBandGuru.com website. You can get in touch with me at email@example.com
Dear Nick, I try to be as honest as possible with you. I like so much your tune, in particular the way you arranged it but I need to notice something not so good in the structure of the song and in your voice: about the structure there are some parts, above all in the middle, that drag themselves till to the chorus without a crescendo you can recognize when listening to; about your voice, I like your mood but the intonation is not always perfect. It's a pity because there's a great potential in this song, you could better do work on this song in order to make the sound more homogenous.
