Kind of long for a punk song, but I enjoyed most of it. There was kind of an unexpected break which came out of nowhere, not sure how necessary it is. Overall, well done and aside from the length and break, I wouldn't change a thing!
Good sound and fun punk tune. College radio is going to be your best bet for radio airplay for both the style and because your band name might be harder for public and community radio to get around. Either way, for your online/web radio promotion this is a great song for addition to punk and alternative programs.
- can tell I am probably going to like this from the first 5 seconds - very exciting opening, really pumps you up and makes you excited to hear the rest of the song - great classic sound, yet still very original - riff coming in half way through the verse really completes the verse, nice touch - great song - would love to hear more music from you - keep releasing great tunes like this and playing live
Everyone's favourite punk rockers Marijuanal are back with "I Don't Care," and despite the song's pessimistic outlook, the results reveal that the band cares a great deal about high caliber musicianship and songwriting. Tight and memorable, "I Don't Care" recalls the best moments of the early 2000's punk explosion, employing the use of accessible pop music sensibilities to deliver more serious and thought provoking messages. The guitar playing is top notch, switching back and forth between chugging power chords and razor-sharp lead electric guitar. Likewise, the rhythm sections is pounding and unrelenting. The most shocking aspect of this song is its four-minute running time, due in part two a spacey instrumental interlude in the song's third quarter. However, even at four minutes, "I Don't Care" never feels like it overstays its welcome.
Fun punk rock with an old school California underground sound. Almost sounds like early-day Green Day with a blend of Homegrown and Screeching Weasel circa 90s era. The throwback style is very appealing to me. I cut my teeth listening to the 90s underground punk tunes. Loved this song!
- wow - love how strong it begins - i already know im going to like it - voice fits the music perfectly, and its very unique - first guitar solo sounds a little off key which makes it stand out perfectly - horns sound so great - very very catchy song - would love to hear more - song is also the perfect length, very punk
"Party Hard" by Marijuanal is an old-school punk rock throwback, and has absolutely nothing to do with Andrew WK's early 2000's song of the same name. Featuring relatively straight-forward musical arrangements and instrumental choices, this song never overstays it's welcome, clocking in at an even two-and-half minutes. The vocals vary from British punk to American hardcore, offering some nice variety. Overall, "Party Hard" hints at future greatness yet to come from Marijuanal.
