On "Game of Drones," the heavy-leaning We Saw Worlds Collide lay down five-and-a-half minutes of direct homage to System Of A Down. Heavily laced with political undertones, the song likewise employs a heavy/quiet dynamic, and lots of screaming and shredding guitars to capture the intensity of the song's message. There is an operatic quality to the vocal delivery at the beginning of the song that immediately recalls Serj Tankian. While it is true that the vocals are indeed heavier than SOAD, they are likewise more melodic during the choruses. One thing's to be sure: We Saw Worlds Collide have a strong political message that is incredibly timely given the current political climate internationally. Their music matches the intensity of their message, and for this they demand attention and respect.
