I'm a huge fan of Maga Bo's work, specially for his keen ears to new music. Usually, everything he picks or points you to is gold and in this case is no different. Cool track, crazy beats and really slick video too. I didn't know Teba Shumba before this vide and really liked his flow. Thanks for the heads up, I'll post this on my blog.
Love how unsettling this song is at the onset - mystery almost always draws in the listener because they don't know what to expect aurally (the element of surprise). Even as the song approaches the minute-mark, you have no idea what to expect - ambitious, surprising, and captivating. Once some structure is established, there is still plenty of allure given the eclectic nature of this song incorporating multiple styles. Creative, this puts a smile on my face. It's refreshing as this isn't something that I hear every day.
I really like the song. Has some really awesome old school dub/dubstep vibes. Vocals are great as well. However, I think the video distracts from the song too much. Instead of functioning as a backdrop for the music, the images demand so much attention that I feel the song is lost in the numerous jolting transitions and psychedelic imagery. It would be better if the song and video flowed together instead of experiencing the two battle for the audience's attention. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed this work. Great stuff. Will definitely keep an eye out for any releases you might have in the future. I love this sound! Makes me rock out proper and want to hook up my massive sound system. I definitely need to get a bigger place to turn this up the way I really want to enjoy the bass and groove. I'm going to refer on to others in Fluence too and get their take.
